Driver fined one million cedis for careless driving

Twifo Praso, (C/R) June 28, GNA- A district magistrate court, at Twifo Praso, on Monday fined Abudu Alhassan, a driver for one million cedis for careless driving and negligently causing harm. Alhassan who pleaded guilty would be jailed for five months in default.

Chief Inspector George Okine, told the court presided over by Mr Joseph Blay, that on December 4, last year, Alhassan, who was driving recklessly from Twifo Nuamakrom to Cape Coast, ran into a ditch at Asare-Kwekukrom junction. He said the seven passengers sustained injuries and were rushed to the Cape Coast Regional Hospital, where they were treated and discharge.
