Mensah Asem is new DCE for North-Tongu

Adidome (V/R), June 15, GNA – Mr Moses Mensah Asem, 42, on Tuesday secured the approval of the North-Tongu District Assembly as the new District Chief Executive (DCE).

In the polls supervised by the Volta regional officials of the Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC), Mr Asem obtained 49 votes, eight against with one abstention.

Mr Kofi Dzamesi, the Volta Regional Minister, who swore in Mr Asem, an Accountant, called for collaboration between members of the assembly and the DCE to tackle the developmental needs of the district. Mr Asem said the high under-development in the district should be the concern of all.

Mr Joe Gidisu and Mr Charles Hodogbe, Members of Parliament (MPs) for the area, were present.
