Ministry of Health asked to upgrade Kasoa Health Centre

Kasoa, May 31, GNA – Mr Isaac Lamptey, Medical Assistant of the Kasoa District Health Centre, has appealed to the Ministry of Health to upgrade the medical facility to a hospital in view of the high number of patients that report there.

He said the Centre was catering for over 60 communities with inadequate medical staff, equipment and other facilities such as laboratory, ambulance and a staff bus.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview on Monday at Kasoa, Mr Lamptey said seriously ill people had to be conveyed to Winneba or the Korle Bu Teaching Hospitals.

Mr Lamptey asked Effutu-Awutu District Assembly to relocate squatters, who have taken over the premises of the centre and creating noise and unsanitary conditions. 31 May 05
