We’re not moved by Osafo Marfo’s threat – NAGRAT

The National President of the National Association of Graduate Teachers NAGRAT, Mr. Kwame Alorvi has described as unfortunate the warning by the Education Minister, Mr. Yaw Osafo Maafo, that members of the Association risk loosing their June salary if they do not call off their strike action.

According to him, they are not deterred by the Minister?s threats and will therefore continue their strike action to back home their demands. Speaking in an interview with Kapital Radio in Kumasi, he said all that the NAGRAT members need is to have their concerns addressed to stop the perennial strike actions. ?It is unfortunate the way the minister is gradually drawing us into politics, this is an issue between us and GES? .

He also dismissed the Assertion that their association is an illegal body. He indicated that association would respond fully to the minister?s press conference on Thursday.
