ADRA constructs well for Obokrom.

Gomoa-Obokrom(C/R), May 22, GNA-The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is helping the peole of Gomoa-Obokrom in the Central Region construct a 20 million-cedi well to solve the water problem facing the community.

Mr Albert K. Essaah Deputy District Fire Officer of the Winneba District Fire Station and Assemblyman for Obokrom/Gomoa-Kumasi/Enyimem Electoral Area, announced this when he met chiefs and opinion leaders of Obokrom on Friday.

He said the inhabitants of Obokrom will provide commitment fee of 2 million cedis(two million cedis) in addition to intensive communal labour while ADRA also provide the remaining 18 million cedis towards the Completion of the project.

On behalf of the chiefs and people of the community, Mr Essaah expressed his appreciation to ADRA for gesture and promised to team up with the chiefs to mobilize the inhabitants for effective communal duties to facilitate the implementation of the project. Meanwhile the people have, through self-help, finished a new market place for the community. They were assisted by the Gomoa District Assembly with building materials.

The Assembly is also constructing a new 300 million cedis new Junior Secondary School classroom block with an office and a store to replace the old one in the town.
