40 showrooms provided for Ahwiaa Craft Centre

Ahwiaa (Ash), April 13, GNA- The Kwabre District Assembly has put up 40 showrooms attached to the Ahwiaa Craft Centre, to enable craftsmen in the district to markets their products.

Alhaji Ahmed Akwasi Yeboah, acting District Chief Executive, who inaugurated the 649.6 million-cedi project said the District Assembly would ensure that other facilities needed to make the centre vibrant would be provided before the end of the year.

He called on the people to keep the surroundings of the centre clean and also take measures to ensure that criminals do not take advantage of the facility for their activities.

Mr Yeboah Acheampong, acting Chief Executive Officer of Messrs K and K Contracts and Development, consultants of the project, expressed the hope that Government would continue with the second phase of the project which involved additional showrooms, conference room, Internet caf=E9, health post and car park.
