Adasewase citizens raise FUNDS for development

Akim Adasewase (E/R), April 2, GNA – Citizens of Adasewase in the Atiwa District of the Eastern Region, have raised 8.1 million cedis for development projects.

The people who are constructing a water reservoir to serve communities have already completed resurfacing and reshaping an 8-kilometer feeder road from Anyinam to Adasewase. They have also completed an electrification project and the renovation of a 3-unit JSS classroom block.

Osabarima Kwame Tia, Chief of the town, who made this known to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said the youth have also being encouraged to go into other income-generating ventures such as citrus and other cash crop cultivation.

He called on parents to make the education of their children a priority instead of spending their resources on expensive funeral clothes and frivolous social events.
