I’m an extrovert – Theresa Tagoe

Accra, March 4,GNA – Madam Theresa Ameley Tagoe, Deputy Minister of Lands, Forestry and Mines-Designate, on Friday said she loved talking even to those she hardly knew.
“Yes I like talking. Sometimes I get out and sit on my steps and just talk to people passing. Through talking I become dynamic,” Madam Tagoe, who is the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South, said this when she appeared before the Appointment Committee of Parliament.
She said her altitude had taken her to places and through that had influenced a lot of individuals and institution to be people-oriented. On Forestry, she said about 17,000 hectares had be reforested through the Government’s plantation programmes.
She said there was an urban component of the reforestation programme, which could help to re-green places like Accra where very little interest was attached to tree planting.
“We are talking to the chiefs about the idea of tree planting,” she said.
Madam Tagoe was born on 13 December 1943. Her hobbies include reading, dancing and talking.
