Adusah re-elected to Council of State

Sunyani, Feb 08, GNA – Mr Michael Kwadwo Adusah, A 71-year-old retired Assistant Superintendent of Police was on Tuesday re-elected as Brong-Ahafo’s representative on the Council of State. He got 34 out of the 38 valid votes cast, whilst his closest rival, the Reverend Venerable Peter Kwadwo Sakyi, 48, Archdeacon of the Anglican Church in Nkoranza collected the remaining four votes.

Mr Isaac Owusu-Ansah, 40-year-old Senior Superintendent of A.M.E. Zion Educational Unit in Sunyani had no vote.

Mr Amadu Sulley, Brong-Ahafo Regional Director of the Electoral Commission who led a four-member team to supervise the election, said with the election of the regional representatives, 15 other members would be appointed by the President to complete the formation of the 25-member Council.
