Asikuma/Odoben/Brakwa DCE expelled from NPP

Accra, Jan. 14, GNA – The Asikuma/Odoben/Brakwa Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has dismissed the District Chief Executive, Mr Sampson Kwame Anfako from the Party for misconduct.

A letter addressed to the National Chairman of NPP, a copy of which was made available to the GNA on Friday, said Mr Anfako violated the duties imposed on him by the Party’s Constitution during his tenure of office as the District Chief Executive.

The letter, which the Constituency First Vice-Chairman, Mr Andrew Asamoadu Buadoo signed, said the Constituency Executive Committee initiated disciplinary proceedings against Mr Anfako but he refused to appear before the legally constituted Constituency Disciplinary Committee.

Following his refusal to appear before the Committee, it recommended that Mr Anfako should be expelled from the Party and that the Executive Committee should not recommend him to President John Agyekum Kufuor through the Central Regional Executive of the Party for re-appointment as the District Chief Executive. It also recommended that the Constituency Executives should request the Serious Fraud Office or the Police to investigate he tenure of Mr Anfako.
