Bosomtwe NADMO benefits from new transport system

Kuntanase (Ash), Jan 10, GNA – The Bosomtwe-Atwima-Kwanwoma District National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) has taken delivery of a double cabin pickup and 10 bicycles to facilitate the work of the staff.

Mr Osei Amponsah, Ashanti Regional Co-ordinator of NADMO, speaking at the presentation at Kuntanase he said the supply of the vehicle and bicycles was under the Government’s policy of restructuring and equipping NADMO to enable it to respond promptly to emergencies and disasters.

He called for the good maintenance of the pickup and bicycles to last long and to be used for the purpose they were provided. Mr David Asuo-Afram, District NADMO Co-ordinator, commended the Government for being sensitive to the needs of the organisation and pledged that the vehicles would be judiciously used.

He noted that the problem reaching out to remote areas, which faced the 10 zonal NADMO Co-ordinators, would be a thing of the past.
