Awutu-Effutu-Senya Assembly makes progress in development projects

Winneba, Dec 30, GNA – Work on the construction of an office for the Awutu-Effutu-Senya District Assembly and some decentralized departments in the district is progressing steadily. Capt Steve Kwamena Armah, the District Chief Executive for the area, told newsmen that about 36.7 percent of work have been completed and 800 million cedis has so far been released to the contractor. Other projects on course are the rehabilitation of the Awutu courthouse, construction of two cassava processing machine structures at Osae Krodua and Okwampa.

Capt Armah said that the phase two of the Kasoa New Market is now completed and traders are expected to move in next month. ”But there are still outstanding issues involving the allocation of stalls and the open spaces in the market to be resolved,” he said.
