Apam hospital records more birth in recent time

Apam (C/R), Dec. 28, GNA – The Apam Catholic Church Hospital on Christmas Eve recorded two babies all girls, Mrs. Grace Buabeng, Senior Staff Mid-Wife disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency at the hospital on Saturday.

According to Mrs. Buabeng, the babies and their mothers were in good condition.

Speaking on the general delivery at the hospital, she said that in the whole month of December, a total of 57 births had been recorded, a situation she described as “very alarming”. Mrs. Buabeng hinted that, since the introduction of the “Safe Delivery

Programme about two years ago, the hospital had been recording high turn out of delivery. She said between June and November, a total of 583 babies were delivered at the hospital, an increase of about 20 per cent before the launching of the programme.

Mrs. Buabeng called on parents of the babies to ensure that the babies get the required upkeep, safe protection, good and moral education that would make them become useful future citizens for their communities and the nation.

She gave the assurance that despite their lesser number of staff, they would do their best to offer quality service to the people.
