Consider the track records of NPP and vote for Kufuor

Kodie (Ash), Nov. 14, GNA – Mr Emmanuel Asamoa Owusu-Ansah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Kwabre West, has called on eligible voters to consider the track record of the NPP and vote massively for President Kufuor.

He said there was also the need for the electorate to vote for NPP parliamentary candidates to support the government to continue with its development projects and programmes.

Mr Owusu-Ansah was addressing Chiefs, Imams and Muslims in the Kodie Muslim community after their prayers to mark Eid-Ul-Fitr on Saturday.

Accompanied by the constituency executives of the party, the Parliamentary Candidate urged the Muslims to discern between truth and lies in terms of campaign messages from political parties.

He told them that during the 2000 general election a vicious political campaign went round that the if NPP government wins the election, all aliens would be asked to go home.

“After four years in office, the President and for that matter the government has not discriminated against any person or group of persons on the grounds of sex, religion, tribe, ethnicity or political affiliation”, he said.

Mr Owusu-Ansah, therefore, said that, the vicious campaign of the NDC at that time was nothing short of lies and vicious propaganda and having known the truth and the track records of NPP, they must all vote President Kufuor back to office for the second time to continue with his work.

Mr Owusu-Ansah advised the Muslims not to see those who do not agree with them in party lines as enemies and thereby insult or fight them but should accept their views as part of the democratic principles. He also advised them to refrain from destroying or removing party billboards or posters of candidates contesting the election, stressing that, it is an offence and anybody caught in the act will face the full rigours of the law.
