The National Executive of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has scheduled an Emergency General Meeting (EGM) for 6 November to consider the Association’s audited accounts.
The meeting will take place at the Ghana International Press Centre in Accra, beginning at 11:00am.
A notice issued on Monday, October 26, 2026, was signed by GJA General Secretary Dominic Hlordzi. It was issued under Article 35(a)(i) of the GJA Constitution, 2004, following a decision by the National Executive to convene the meeting.

Members will also be able to raise any other matter that may be brought forward by the National Council or an individual member.
The National Executive has urged all members to make themselves available and take part fully in the proceedings.
It said the meeting would allow members to examine issues concerning the Association’s financial accountability and administration.
The Ghana Journalists Association is the umbrella organisation for journalists in Ghana. Article 35 of its 2004 Constitution gives the National Executive the authority to call an Emergency General Meeting to address specific urgent matters.
An EGM focused on audited accounts forms part of the Association’s accountability obligations. It gives members the opportunity to scrutinise its income and expenditure and ask questions about its administration.
The 6 November meeting is expected to bring members from across the country to the Press Centre in Accra.
