NDC pays for all candidates

Accra, Oct 19, GNA – The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has paid an amount of 135,000,000 million cedis covering the filing fees of its Presidential Candidate, Professor J.E.A. Mills and all its 230 Parliamentary Candidates.

The cheque to this effect has been deposited at the Electoral Commission on Tuesday October 19, 2004.

A statement signed by the Deputy General Secretary Baba Jamal in Accra said the NDC therefore, wishes to serve notice to all its Parliamentary candidates not to pay any filing fees at the various district offices of the Electoral Commission when filing. The National Executive Committee of the Party wishes all its candidates very successful campaigns, which will culminate into a landslide victory for the Party in the December elections.
