Ghana’s Foreign Ministry has established what it says is the first comprehensive database of Ghanaians living around the world, with particular emphasis on citizens who may require diplomatic or consular assistance.
Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said the initiative was part of a broader effort to protect the welfare and dignity of Ghanaians wherever they are located.
He announced the development while congratulating four career diplomats recently commissioned by President John Mahama to represent Ghana overseas.
