The National Service Authority (NSA) has extended the registration deadline for National Service Personnel (NSPs) who have not completed the process for the 2026/2027 service year.
Eligible personnel now have until Friday, 23 October 2026 to finish their registration. The revised deadline replaces the original date of 15 October 2026, which has already passed.
The NSA announced the extension in a statement issued from its headquarters in Accra on 16 October 2026. The statement was signed by the Management of the Authority and marked “for immediate release”.
The Authority said the additional time was intended to give personnel who had been unable to complete their registration another opportunity to do so within the new timeframe.
It urged all affected NSPs to use the extension and complete the registration process before the revised deadline. The NSA warned that failing to meet the new date could lead to “inconvenience”, although it did not specify the consequences for those who miss the deadline.
Personnel were also advised to follow the prescribed registration procedures and complete every required step to ensure their records were not left pending.
The extension gives those who did not finish by 15 October eight more days to complete their registration for the 2026/2027 service year. The statement, which carries the reference number NSA 4/51/10-26, did not provide further details about what would happen after 23 October.
The NSA said it remained committed to providing a smooth and efficient registration process for all eligible National Service Personnel.
Those who are yet to register have been encouraged to act early rather than wait until the final day, when last-minute challenges could affect their enrolment for the 2026/2027 service year.
