Wa, Sept. 17, GNA – Mr Sahanun Mogtari, Upper West Regional Minister, has launched a brochure outlining government’s development achievements in the Region.
The brochure entitled: “Reaping the Fruits of Positive Change”, captured road, education, health, water and sanitation, communication and rural electrification projects implemented since 2001.
Mr Mogtari, who launched the document at a durbar of the chiefs and people in Wa, said it would serve as the development profile on the Region.
“It should also challenge us to seek progress and development for our people and remind us that there is a period when everyone must be prepared to account for his or her stewardship while in office.”
The Regional Minister called for the quick resolution of all chieftaincy disputes in the region to pave the way for more development projects.
On behalf of the Regional Coordinating Council, Mr Mogtari presented a mini-bus valued at 277 million cedis to the Regional House of Chiefs.
