Stanbic NSPs Leave a Legacy of Care at 37 Military Hospital

The 2024/2025 cohort of National Service Personnel (NSP) at Stanbic Bank Ghana has made a meaningful contribution to the Dialysis Unit of the 37 Military Hospital, donating vital equipment and financial support to improve patient care.

The donation included two electric dialysis chairs, a monitoring machine, and GHS 4,200 in cash to assist four patients facing financial challenges. This initiative continues a cherished tradition at Stanbic Bank, where each year’s service personnel pool resources to support impactful causes.

Jacqueline Osei Kusi, Acting Head of Client Coverage at Stanbic Bank Ghana, led the presentation and commended the hospital staff for their dedication. “This donation goes beyond equipment – it’s about supporting lives. We are honoured to contribute to the well-being of patients and to recognize the tireless efforts of healthcare professionals,” she said.

Receiving the items, Surgeon Lieutenant Commander Denis Nyarko, Senior Medical Officer at the Renal Unit, expressed heartfelt gratitude. “These contributions will significantly enhance our ability to serve patients with comfort and efficiency. The generosity of Stanbic’s service personnel is truly lifesaving and continues a legacy of compassion,” he remarked.

For the NSP team, the project was both challenging and deeply rewarding. Jared Bush, President of the Stanbic Bank NSP group, reflected on the journey: “It wasn’t easy, but the impact makes every effort worthwhile. We wanted our year of service to leave a lasting mark – and we’ve done just that.”

Other members of the cohort echoed the sentiment, sharing how the initiative gave deeper meaning to their service. “Knowing we’ve helped patients who need it most is incredibly fulfilling,” one member said.

The Dialysis Unit at the 37 Military Hospital remains a vital lifeline for patients across Ghana, many of whom rely on its services for critical renal care. This donation reinforces Stanbic Bank’s commitment to community health and the power of youth-led change.
