Ghanaian duo Abigail Appiah and Doris Boaduwaa have earned recognition in Israel after being named in the September Team of the Month for the Israeli Women’s Premier League.
The pair have been standout performers for their respective clubs, showcasing consistency and quality since the start of the 2025/26 campaign.
Boaduwaa, who plays for Hapoel Jerusalem, was particularly impressive in front of goal, scoring four times in just two matches before being sidelined by injury. Her attacking prowess has been key to Jerusalem’s promising start to the season.
Appiah, meanwhile, has been a driving force in midfield for Hapoel Raanana. The former Jonina Ladies player has featured in all three league games so far, helping her side to two wins and a respectable fourth-place position on the table.
Her tireless work rate and composure in possession have quickly made her a fan favourite at the club.
Both players will now be aiming to maintain their fine form as the league continues, with hopes of earning a recall to the Ghana women’s national team under head coach Kim Lars Björkegren during the next international window.
Their selection marks another proud moment for Ghanaian women’s football, as more local talents continue to make their mark across European leagues.
