Catholic charismatic renewal camp meeting opens

Fawoade (Ash), Aug 28, GNA – Rev Monsignor Thomas Manu, the Vicar General of the Konongo-Mampong Catholic Diocese, has expressed concern about the increasing immorality among the youth in the society. He therefore appealed to the youth in the diocese to get involved in education programmes that would take them away from anti-social behaviour.

Monsignor Manu was speaking at the opening of a weeklong Catholic Charismatic Renewal Youth Camp meeting of the diocese at Fawoade in the Kwabre District and 300 delegates are attending.

He appealed to the youth to take part in communal labour and to initiate more development projects to improve the living conditions of the people.

Mr J.K. Nketia, the Diocesan Youth Co-ordinator, said the youth of the diocese have planned comprehensive education campaigns on HIV/AIDS
