Lilwin Vows to Buy a House for Ex‑Wife Sweet Pat

Actor and comedian Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin, says he intends to purchase a house for his former wife, Patricia Afriyie, despite their marriage ending more than eight years ago.

The unexpected pledge came after Lilwin bumped into Ms Afriyie—better known as Sweet Pat—and blogger Papa Jay of Poleeno Multimedia moments after an interview about her forthcoming single, Take Your Lover. Speaking on camera, the Wezzy Empire boss revealed the idea has been on his mind “for a long time”.

“It’s something I’ve always wanted to do for her. The only thing left is for me to get the money to do it,” Lilwin said, stressing that the plan is not a publicity stunt but a personal commitment he hopes to fulfil when finances allow.

He added that the gesture enjoys full backing from his present spouse, Ohemaa Pretty Gold, a detail he described as making “the whole thing even more interesting”.

Lilwin did not specify a timeline for the purchase, noting only that securing adequate funds remains the final hurdle. His brief comments have since set social media abuzz, with many users praising what they view as an uncommon show of goodwill between former partners.

The actor and entrepreneur has largely kept details of his past relationship out of the public eye since the divorce. Tuesday’s remarks, therefore, mark a rare public acknowledgment of Ms Afriyie, who has recently rekindled her own career with the impending release of her new track.

While reactions to Lilwin’s promise were largely positive, some observers questioned whether the entertainer’s finances could stretch to such a significant gift, given ongoing projects under his production label. Lilwin, however, gave no indication he would abandon the plan.
