Bright Simon Osei confirmed as NDC parliamentary candidate

Mankranso (Ash), Aug 19, GNA- Mr Bright Simon Osei, a 46-year-old businessman was on Tuesday returned unopposed as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Ahafo-Ano South at a delegates’ congress at Mankranso.

Speaking at the congress, Mr Akwasi Abayie, Ashanti Regional Organiser of the NDC, said the party was determined to capture more than half the parliamentary seats in Ashanti.

He said the region was no longer the stronghold of the NPP since the electorate had become “disillusioned with the NPP”.

Mr Abayie said the problems for which the NPP accused the NDC in the 2000 elections had been worsened.

He advised supporters of the party to work hard since it was not going to be easy task to beat NPP in the region.
