Former Black Stars goalkeeper and current national team goalkeepers’ coach, Fatau Dauda, is making the most of the off-season by investing in the future of Ghanaian football. Dauda has been leading intensive training sessions for goalkeepers from the Ghana Premier League (GPL), Division 1 League, and the national team at the University of Ghana campus.
Known for his time with Ashanti Gold and his exploits as Ghana’s first-choice goalkeeper, Dauda is now passing on his wealth of experience to the next generation.
The sessions have drawn praise from participants, who benefit from Dauda’s insights into modern goalkeeping techniques and mental toughness. The initiative is part of Dauda’s commitment to nurturing local talent and ensuring that Ghana maintains its strong tradition of producing top-class goalkeepers.
As Ghana gears up for crucial international fixtures, Dauda’s efforts are expected to play a key role in sharpening the reflexes and skills of the country’s shot-stoppers.
