A delegation from Team Ken, the support group for Kennedy Agyapong, marked Father’s Day with a visit to Apostle Dr. Isaac Owusu Bempah, Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International.
The visit on Sunday, June 15, 2025, took place at the church’s premises in Accra. Led by campaign spokesperson Kwasi Kwarteng, the delegation expressed gratitude and spiritual solidarity with the influential clergyman, describing him as a “father figure” whose guidance has been vital to Ghana’s political and faith communities.
“Today, we honour fathers and father figures, and as Team Ken, we have come to celebrate a man of God we deeply admire, Apostle Dr. Isaac Owusu Bempah,” Mr. Kwarteng remarked. “This is a spiritual gesture, not a political one, because we recognize the Apostle’s grace and his consistent voice of truth in challenging times. Happy Father’s Day to him.”
Akwasi Poku, NPP Chairman for Tema West Constituency, also lauded the Apostle’s contributions to both the party and the nation. He emphasized the need for peace and reconciliation. “If the NPP or any of us have hurt you in any way, knowingly or unknowingly, we ask for forgiveness. We urge you to continue interceding for our party and the country,” he said.
The visit was marked by moments of prayer and reflection, with Team Ken members expressing appreciation for Apostle Owusu Bempah’s role as a spiritual anchor. The group highlighted the importance of religious leaders in guiding the nation, especially in politically sensitive times.
Apostle Owusu Bempah warmly welcomed the delegation, offering prayers for unity and divine wisdom for Ghana’s leaders. He encouraged political figures to embrace humility and seek Godly counsel in their service to the nation.
“This gesture means a lot to me. I pray for peace, unity, and the wisdom of God for all leaders in Ghana,” the Apostle said, thanking Team Ken for their visit.
