Ghana’s Joseph Amoah Set for New Chapter After Paredes Exit

Ghanaian midfielder Joseph Amoah will be on the lookout for a new club this summer after Portuguese side Paredes opted not to renew his contract.

The 30-year-old, who joined the third-tier club with hopes of reigniting his career, made only two appearances during the 2024/25 season. Paredes confirmed they will part ways with the player when his contract officially expires on 30 June 2025.

Amoah, once a promising talent in the Ghanaian youth ranks, spent the bulk of his professional career in Portugal.

Despite a quiet season at Paredes, Amoah remains determined to continue his career, telling close sources he feels “fit and ready for a new challenge.”

With the summer transfer window approaching, Amoah will be hoping for fresh opportunities either in Portugal or beyond as he looks to extend a career that has spanned more than a decade in European football.
