Mahama still ranting because his appointees haven’t been jailed – Ken Agyapong

The Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency Kennedy Ohene Agyapong says he is getting frustrated day in and out due to his government’s inability to prosecute corrupt officials in the previous administration.

Speaking on Oman FM’s National Agenda Show on Wednesday, Mr Kennedy Agyapong indicated that government’s delay in prosecuting corrupt appointees of the previous government is what has emboldened the former President, John Dramani Mahama to turn around to accuse the incumbent of engaging in corrupt acts.

He said if the government had been able to jail two or three appointees of the previous administration Mr John Dramani Mahama wouldn’t have gotten the guts to talk during his party’s unity walk held in Cape Coast last weekend.

Akompreko as he is affectionately called noted the Minority NDC MPs are pretty much aware that some of their members will go to jail hence their determination to frustrate the passage of the Special Prosecutor’s Bill

The outspoken law maker said government is bound to fail if it relies on the Office of the Attorney General to prosecute corrupt former official because stressing that most the State Attorney’s at the AG Department are members of the NDC.
