Bright Amankwah & the Triumphant Choir Launch New GOSPEL CD

CD entitled ?HYMNS YOU LOVE TO SING?
Bronx, NY, Saturday, July 24, 2004 — Gospel music has been revamped with different flavours/beats to meet different kind of audience, Rap, R & B, Hiplife and Reggae. It has been taken to a whole new level by these trendsetters; Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond, Bebe & Cece Winans and a lot more. Pastor Seth Frimpong, Esther Smith, Daughters of Glorious Jesus to name a few have created a flavour where the Ghanaian gospel music is played at many events. Back in the day Gospel music was succumbed to only during church services and funeral services.

One group is taking some of hymn tunes from the Methodist Hymn Book to a level where it would be played and heard at anytime and anywhere. It is entitled; ?Hymns You Love To Sing?. They have added some Jazz, R&B and Soul to it. Bright Amankwah and the Triumphant Choir, led by the well-known and respected musician, writer, Organist/keyboardist, choirmaster and known all over the world in the Methodist Church circles; Mr. Bright Amankwah, have produced an impressive CD worth a spot in every household?s CD library. It was executive produced by Sampson Adjei. The group launched their new CD at the Ghanaian Methodist Church in the Bronx on Saturday, July 24th, 2004. Some of the famous hymns on the CD are; Praise My Soul, Hark the Sound, I need Thee Every Hour, I am so Glad and others. The Triumphant Choir features; Lydia Amoquandoh, Dorcas Aidoo (Sopranos), Steve Ntiamoah and Alswell Kittoe (Tenor), Barbara B-Tetteh, Irene Amankwah (Altos), Osei Asibey, Hope S. Konu (Bass).

The event was very successful and was attended by various special guests including; Rev. Dr. Isaac Bentil-Bentum, Rev. E.K. Dadson, Rev. Samuel Acquaah-Arhin and various Methodist Churches, Brooklyn, Queens, New Jersey and others. Master MC extraordinaire, Mr. Isaac Donkor was given the honor to lead the event and Ghanaweb.com?s personality, Mr. Charles Nimmo Ntiamoah-Mensah aka Mr. CNN was also there to offer his support and feature the event on ?Ghanaians Abroad? for the viewing pleasure of family, friends and supporters all over the world.
