Presence of anti-galamsey soldiers scare residents of Amansie

Reports indicates the health of business activities in the said area have somewhat been affected as financial institutions claim that customers are now rushing to withdraw their monies in the wake of the heavy military presence there.

“There are going to be police and soldiers combined and if you there try to confront them, they will shoot you dead. So the majority of these people are running away and nobody will run away leaving his cash, so they come and take their cash,” owner of a saving and loans company said.

Meanwhile, the minister of interior has pledged that the deployment of the anti-military task-force will not affect normal activities in the area as he has assured residents of maximum peace and protection.
