Delegates arriving for Anniversary Nkrumah’s death

Accra, 30 April, GNA- Delegates for the International Conference to commemorate the 32nd anniversary celebration of the death of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah have started, arriving in Accra.

Among those who arrived this morning are two governors from Nigeria, Dr. Chris Nginge of Anambra State and Mr. Bukar Abraham of Yobi State.

The one-day conference which opens in Accra today is under the theme “Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Power of his actions”, and it is being organised by the West Africa International (WAI) in conjunction with the Kwame Nkrumah Foundation.

Dr. Dee Otibu-Asare, Publisher of West Africa International told journalists that about 600 delegates are expected, with 200 from Nigeria.

He said two governors would be presented with the Kwame Nkrumah award on leadership.

Dr. Otibu-Asare said the conference would be addressed by personalities including, Dr. Francis Nkrumah of the Noguchi Memorial Institute and Professor Takyiwa Manu of the Institute of African Studies, Legon.
