Government declares Monday as public holiday

The government has declared Monday, 26th June, 2017 as a statutory holiday.

Monday marks the Eid Ul-Fitr celebrations by Muslims across the world and the government is calling on Ghanaians to observe the day as a holiday

A statement issued by the Interior Ministry reads:

The general public is hereby reminded that Monday, 26th June, 2017, which marks EID UL-FITR, is a Statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.
