Denkyira-Obuasi wails for Mahama

Some women at Denkyira-Obuasi in the Central Region have been wailing since morning and pleading for forgiveness as the state mourns the late Major Maxwell Mahama who was lynched in that town on suspicion of being an armed robber.

A state funeral with full military honours was held for the late Major Mahama on Friday, 9 May at the forecourt of the State House.

It was graced by Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, former Presidents John Kufuor, and John Mahama amongst a host of high profile dignitaries and family members.
