About 3,500 UPSA undergraduates defend dissertations

Nearly 3,500 undergraduate students of the University of Professional Studies in Accra are appearing before the university’s faculty to defend their thesis as part of their graduation requirements.

Students who pursued all programmes formed groups and selected research topics, and worked diligently all school year to prepare for their final dissertation this week.

Unlike most universities where dissertation is a requirement for only Master Degree students and above, UPSA requires undergraduates to write and defend their thesis before they graduate.

As a premier business and professional university, it is important to prepare students for their future careers and introduce them to experiences that they will have in the business world.

Dissertations are a great opportunity for students to fine-tune their skills presenting, information sharing, collaboration, receiving constructive criticism, and persuading an audience to adopt their ideas and recommendations.
