UEW NUGS Women’s Commission donates to Children’s Home

Awutu-Bawjiase (C/R), March 11, GNA – The NUGS Women’s Commission of the University of Education, Winneba, has donated a number of items including, clothing, foot-wear and soap, to the Awutu-Bawjiase Countryside Children Welfare Home as the commission’s contribution towards the running of the home.

Speaking at the function, Madam Rose M. Nkrumah, the Women’s Commissioner, announced the group’s intension to make the gesture a periodic feature to support the managers of the home to cater for the vulnerable.

She said it was the decision of the Commission to ensure that needy children in and around Winneba were well taken care of and appealed to other organisations to go to the aid of the orphans at Bawjiase. Mrs. Emma Boafo Yeboah, founder and managing director of the home thanked the donors for their concern for the children and asked for God’s blessings for them to enable them to contribute more towards the realisation of the aspirations of the needy.
