Former MP manhandled at Flagstaff House plans to sue

Former Gomoa Central Member of Parliament, Rachel Appoh who was allegedly assaulted and manhandled at the Flagstaff House on Friday(31st March,2017) is planning on seeking legal redress.

Mrs Appoh who went to the Flagstaff house under the directions of the Finance Ministry to correct her gratuity anomalies at the Chief of Staff’s office but ended up allegedly been assaulted by security operatives.

“Immediately they heard I was Rachel Appoh, there started to push me, somebody held my right hand and started shouting that I should walk out [they said walk out walk out, here is not party office,here is not NDC’s place.

One(Auntie Naomi asked me to leave the country if I cannot stay here but I am also challenging them that I will not leave today or tomorrow. I am going to stay here and nobody can frustrate me.”

According to the former MP, one (Naomi) accused her of insulting the President, which she denies and has threatened to go to court unless the woman in question provides video evidence.

“I have asked them to provide the tape, if not I will sue them.”

Mrs Appoh was a one term Member of Parliament, serving in the sixth parliament.
