Mills Retract Story On Mrs. GIZELLE YAJZI

Ghana Palaver has been informed by the office of the NDC Flagbearer that following certain facts that have emerged since the Press Conference of Professor John Evans Atta-Mills in September 2003 and in the light of information now available to the Professor, he wishes to explain that in calling for an investigation into the activities of Ms Gizelle Yajzi, he never intended to disparage the person of Ms. Yajzi.

On the contrary, Professor Mills was calling for an investigation into newspaper allegations connecting Ms. Yajzi to certain activities which investigations would enable Ms. Yajzi clear her name if she was innocent of any wrong doing.

Professor Mills regrets if his efforts to help Ms Yajzi clear her good name rather created the wrong impressions in certain quarters and promises to work with her in the future to ensure that the truth about her work for and her connection with the Government of Ghana is made public knowledge.
