Former APC General Secretary defects to NPP

Embattled General Secretary of the All People’s Congress, Razak Kojo Opoku has officially joined the New Patriotic Party.

Mr. Opoku was suspended from the party by the flagbearer Dr. Hassan Ayariga after he held a press conference together with the APC’s running mate Carl Bartels to endorse the NPP’s Nana Akufo-Addo ahead of the General Elections.

In a statement signed by the former General Secretary of APC, he announced his non-involvement with what he describes as the “corruptible John Mahama/Hassan Ayariga All People’s Congress”.

Below is the statement:

I, Razak Kojo Opoku formely of APC wishes to announce to the general public, media, Electoral Commission, Civil Society Organizations and Registered Political Parties that I have ceased to be a member and General Secretary of Corruptible John Mahama/Hassan Ayariga All People’s Congress (APC).

I, Razak Kojo Opoku have defected to the Incorruptible New Patriotic Party (NPP) and I shall forever remain a loyal Patriot unto death.

The quality leadership, tolerant and peace-loving nature of Nana Akufo-Addo convinced me to defects to the noble NPP Family.

My vote is for Nana Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
