Lumba Fitting shop donates to three orphanages

Kumasi, Dec 29, GNA- Workers of Lumba Fitting Shop in Kumasi on Monday presented items worth about 18 million cedis to three orphanages in the Ashanti Region.

The beneficiary homes include Kumasi Children’s home, King Jesus Care Centre at Boadi and the ASHAN Development Centre and Orphanage.

They were each given two bags of rice, a bag of sugar, confectionaries, a carton of milk, a box of key soap, two gallons of cooking oil and toilet rolls.

Mr Attakora Amaniampong Lupa, who presented the items on behalf of the workers, said the donation formed part of the shop’s social obligation to the poor and needy.

He assured the beneficiary homes that the workers are prepared to come to their aid whenever the need arises.

Miss Mabel Boamah, of the Kumasi Children’s Home, the Rev Owusu Afriyie of the King Jesus Care Centre and Mr Jim Konadu of ASHAN Development Centre and Orphanage received the items on behalf of their institutions and thanked the workers for the gesture.

They appealed to philanthropists to support the homes so that the children could live happily.
