Club World Cup Prize Money Revealed: Champions to Earn $40 Million

The winner of the upcoming Club World Cup will take home a staggering $40 million in prize money, according to Spanish sports outlet COPE.

The financial rewards for the expanded tournament have been outlined ahead of the global showpiece, with all participating clubs set to benefit significantly based on their progress and performance.

Under the reported structure, each team will receive $2 million for every match they win and $1 million for a draw, in addition to the stage-based earnings.

Clubs reaching the Round of 16 will earn $7.5 million, while quarterfinalists will receive $13.12 million. The prize rises to $21 million for semifinalists.

The runner-up of the tournament is expected to walk away with $30 million.

This makes the total earnings potential for the champion — including match results and progression bonuses — one of the highest in club football history.

The revised Club World Cup format is expected to feature top clubs from across the world, and the significant prize pot is likely to raise the stakes both competitively and commercially.
