Cease and Desist: Sam George’s Lawyers Threaten Legal Action Against PK Sarpong over Lexus Gift Allegation

Lawyers representing Hon. Samuel Nartey George, Member of Parliament and Minister of Communication, Digital Technology & Innovations, have issued a formal cease and desist letter to political commentator P.K. Sarpong, also known as “Whispers”, over what they describe as a false and defamatory Facebook publication.

The statement in question alleges that Hon. Sam George accepted a Lexus vehicle as a gift in violation of a code of conduct for public servants launched by President John Dramani Mahama.

According to the legal letter, this claim is “categorically false” and “devoid of truth.”

The letter, issued by the legal firm Korsah & Arkah @ Law, accuses Mr. Sarpong of deliberately spreading misinformation to damage the Minister’s reputation. It demands the immediate removal of the post from Mr. Sarpong’s Facebook page, a public retraction, and an unqualified apology — all to be completed within seven days, by 27th May 2025.

“Failure or refusal to comply with these demands will leave us with no option but to initiate legal proceedings,” the letter warns, indicating the possibility of a defamation suit without further notice.
