Workshop for facilitators of NFED ends

Tepa (Ash), Oct. 30, GNA – Mr Akwasi Adu-Poku, Ahafo-Ano North District Chief Executive, on Wednesday said there real development would be illusive if the people who are the focal point are not properly educated to acquire basic skills.

He said the main objective of the non-formal education was aimed at ensuring qualitative improvement in the lives of adult learners. Mr Adu-Poku was closing a 10-day training workshop for 66 non-formal education facilitators drawn from the Ahafo-Ano North and South districts at Tepa.

He asked the participants to do their work with patience, tolerance and dedication devoid of partisan politics.

Mr Adu-Poku said for the programme to succeed, District Co-ordinators of the Non-Formal Education Division (NFED) frequently visit the communities to ensure that their classes were functioning.
