Kumasi: Man burnt to death after candle flame sparked fire

A 30-year-old man has been burnt to death in his room at South Suntreso, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti region.

The fire is believed to have started from a candle the deceased lit in his room at about 10:30 pm Wednesday.

According to eyewitnesses, the deceased got trapped in his room when the fire began, leaving him completely burnt before personnel from the fire service arrived at the scene.

Investigations have commenced into the incident
