King Promise vows to “go harder” after clinching TGMA Artiste of the Year

Fresh off his triumph at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards, King Promise insists the coveted Artiste of the Year title is fuel—not a finish line.

Speaking on Daybreak Hitz with DJ Slim and Doreen Avio, the Afrobeats star brushed aside whispers that award-winners often lose momentum.

“I mean, the only thing I say to that is even when I didn’t get one, I kept coming back-to-back, so imagine now I have the main one,” he said.

For the “Terminator” hit-maker, music is more than a career.

“I love making music—it’s not just a passion. I feel like for me it’s kinda like a calling; I was born for this,” he told the hosts. “Something like this doesn’t pause the work, but edey push me to go harder.”

King Promise’s consistent run of singles and performances over recent years underscores that determination. With Ghana’s top music honour now in hand, he’s signaling that the next chapter may be his most ambitious yet.
