Aviation Security Personnel interdicted

Accra, Oct. 9, GNA – Three Aviation Security Personnel and a Dispatch Officer of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) have been interdicted for attempting to obtain entry visas using a forged introductory letters to the Swiss Embassy.

The four, whose names are being withheld for security reasons, allegedly conspired and managed to secure GCAA letterheads, wrote introductory letters and forged the signature of the authorising Manager.

A source at GCAA told the GNA that the Embassy became suspicious and referred the letters to the GCAA for verification. An investigative team has been constituted to find out the loopholes within GCAA system in order to prevent recurrence.
