Tarkwa-Nsuaem NPP constituency chairman dies

Mr. Samuel Osei Boamah, the Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Constituency of the Western Region, Sunday died at the Tarkwa Government Hospital after a short illness.

The Chairman, popularly known as “Africana”, was 71years.

Mr. Benjamin Kesse, the Constituency Secretary, confirmed his death to the Ghana News Agency, on Sunday, and described his demise as, “painful in view of the pivotal role he had played in sustaining the party over the years.”

He said the deceased complained of pains in one of his legs and he was sent to the Tarkwa Government Hospital for medical attention on Saturday, March 26.

However, they received the information of his death at 0500 hours on Easter Sunday.

The late Boamah was elected again as the Constituency Chairman in 2013, after initially serving in that position from 2000 to 2008.
