Mahama is desperate for power – NPP

The Ashanti Regional Deputy Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Lawyer Adom Appiah has said President John Dramani Mahama is desperate for power and as such, is doing everything possible to retain power.

Speaking on a local based FM station Otec, on the program Dwabrem, Monday, the lawyer said President Mahama was ready to spend the tax payers’ money anyhow just to retain power.

This according to him was because President Mahama was desperate for power.

He said the excessive spending by President Mahama to ensure he retains power has contributed to the high debt of the country’s national debt.

He stated that the country’s national debt had risen to a point where the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as a party has found it difficult to disclose.

According to him, the NPP’s running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Mawumia’s stance on the country’s national debt had always been factual having said the country’s debt is currently overwhelming and running into 37 billion dollars.

‘Bawumia does not just talk. He has the facts on the economy.

The NDC is unable to disclose the national debt because it is so huge’’ he averred.
