Electric pole crashes man to death in vehicle

A man was killed on Sunday, March 13 when a black SUV he was driving somersaulted and hit an electric pole beside a road at Koforidua in the Eastern Region.

According to an eyewitness account, a ‘trotro’ driver jumped the lights at a crossing and hit the SUV from behind.

The SUV somersaulted and hit an electric pole. The pole fell on the car, killing the driver instantly.

The victim was said to be the manager of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA)inspection centre office at Dome in Accra.
