Ho, Aug. 19, GNA – The Volta Regional Branch of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) will hold its Delegates’ Conference on Saturday, August 23.
A Press Release signed by Nii Adjetey Sowah, Acting Regional Secretary, said 200 Delegates from the 19 constituencies and Tertiary Institutions in the Region would attend the Conference at which new Executives would be elected.
The statement said nomination forms could be obtained for a fee of 25,000 cedis and candidates vying for Regional and Vice Chairmanship positions will pay 500,000 cedis each while the post of Treasurer will attract 400,000 cedis.
The Regional Secretary and Regional Organiser positions will each attract 300,000 cedis, the Regional Women Organiser, Youth Organiser and the Education Secretary will pay 200,000 each while all other Assistant positions will attract 100,000 cedis each.
The Statement said all candidates should be sponsored by one person each from the six of the 19 constituencies in the Region. It asked that completed nomination forms be returned with the appropriate fees to the Volta Regional Secretariat of the Party on or before 1700 hours on Wednesday August 20.
