Two contest Fiifi Kwetey in Ketu NDC primaries today

Members of the National Democratic Congress in the Ketu South constituency of the Volta region are going to the polls to elect their parliamentary candidate.

The primary was put on hold last month, following a suit filed against the party by a disqualified aspirant, Jim Morti.

An Accra High court, however, dismissed the suit last week, paving way for the internal polls to take place today.

Two persons, Famous Kuadugah and Sylvanus Yao Amedorme are contesting against incumbent MP, Fiifi Kwetey, who is also the Minister of Food and Agriculture.

In all, 32,637 registered members of the NDC are expected to cast their ballots in 70 voting centres across the constituency to elect a candidate to represent the party in the 2016 general elections.
